Are you ready for even more new comics? Well, get ready, because before you trick or treat, you’ll have to smell my feet. I mean, look through this list of new comics this week for October 25, 2023.
DC Comics is kicking up the heat in their Wonder Woman line in a big way this week. Not only are we getting the second issue of the main title, but the spinoff Amazons Attack follows some of the other, non-Diana characters as they deal with a surprising, unbelievable new status quo: the world hating and devaluing women, and their contribution to society. Comics: where do they get these wild ideas?
Over at Marvel, it’s officially spooky season with a new Marvel Zombies series, a Hallows’ Eve one-shot, and collections for both. But the big news is yet another Captain Marvel #1, presumably teeing up The Marvels theatrical movie. Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant also gets a new issue this week. Whither Monica Rambeau? Somewhere, I bet.
If you’re looking for highlights from other publishers, how about Dark Horse? They’ve got Giant Robot Hellboy #1, which is exactly as advertised on the tin. IDW brings on Dark Spaces: Dungeon #1, which we gave a glowing advance review to, for the Scott Snyder/Hayden Sherman joint. And Image Comics and Skybound deliver James Tynion IV and Martin Simmonds Universal Monsters: Dracula #1, which is a gorgeous new story of the vampire lord.
