Just in time for her new movie, Carol Danvers is back in Captain Marvel #1. Written by Alyssa Wong, with art by Jan Bazaldua, the new series gives Carol a new costume via artist Jen Bartel, a new status quo, and a new supporting cast.
In the preview pages, we get a glimpse of that, as the head of The Avengers sets herself up as the first line of defense for the Earth. Unfortunately for her, she’s got a new enemy who seems able to take every blast and punch she can dish out.
Will Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau show up to help out, a la The Marvels? Not in these preview pages!
