You may want to get your wallet ready for the Marvel May 2024 lineup. In addition to a slew of your regular faves, Blood Hunt, which pits vampires versus heroes, is taking over the publisher with dozens of one-shots and tie-ins.
But that’s far from our only highlights here. While we left off some must-haves such as the blockbuster Ultimate Universe titles, and the X-Men’s Krakoa era almost wrapping up with multiple miniseries… There are still a ton you’ll want to get your hands on this month. Garth Ennis and Jacen Burrows return to the Vietnam era of The Punisher for a crossover book that finds Frank Castle rescuing — or perhaps murdering — Nick Fury.
2. Deadpool & Wolverine: World War III #1

Can you feel the corporate synergy? Deadpool and Wolverine battle and team up from classic Deadpool writer Joe Kelly, with art by Adam Kubert.
3. Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace 25th Anniversary Special #1

We’ve officially entered the prequel reclamation era, 25 years on, as this anthology focuses on your fave characters like Baby Anakin, Padme, and Jar-Jar. Wizard!
4. Blood Hunt #1
Release Date: May 1, 2024
It’s vampires versus Marvel in this limited series that, frankly, is not so limited. Beyond the main series by Jed MacKay and Pepe Larraz, there’s also a Red Band version with extended, more violent content only released in comic book stores. And throughout the next few months, there are dozens of spinoffs and tie-ins. Hope y’all like vampires!
5. Giant-Size X-Men #1

6. Doom #1

Why is this one-shot happening? Not sure. But it is happening, and it’s an essential read this month as Jonathan Hickman writes what essentially sounds like Doom: The End, with pencils by Sandford Greene.
7. The Amazing Spider-Man #50

The Green Goblin returns, and somehow — spoiler — Peter becomes the next Goblin. Check out the story fans will be arguing about for the next decade! Plus, Marv Wolfman tackles a tale that will tug on your heartstrings.
8. Spider-Gwen: The Ghost-Spider #1

Gwen gets officially trapped in a world she never made in this new series, and I know a duck she might want to talk to about that.
9. Wolverine #50

It’s the end of the Sabretooth War, the end of Benjamin Percy’s run on Wolverine, and a celebration of 50 years of the character with stories by Larry Hama and more. Stabby stabby, as Logan always says!
10. Avengers: Twilight #6

Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña’s The Cap Knight Returns wraps up with the arrival of the Hulk. Yikes!
