Allison Williams Joins Charlie Day In Dark Horse Comedy, ‘Kill Me’

Allison Williams Charlie Day Kill Me

Allison Williams, star of Girls, M3gan, and Get Out among others, is joining Charlie Day in the upcoming Dark Horse film, Kill Me.

“We are thrilled to find in Allison not just an incredible actress to tackle the role of Margot, but a partner who is as passionate as we are about this brave discussion of mental health and suicidality, a subject which has touched all of our lives so deeply,” said director Peter Warren via a press release provided to Comic Book Club.

The movie is about a man named Jimmy (Day) who wakes up in the bathtub after a seeming suicide attempt. However, Jimmy thinks someone tried to kill him. So he teams up with a 911 operator named Margot (Williams) in order to solve whether someone did try to murder him… Or if he tried to kill himself.

Of note, this Dark Horse movie is entirely separate from “Kill Me” from Dark Horse Presents, a 2015 story written by Chad Lambert, which is getting collected this December in a new volume titled Kill Me & Other Curiosities. That story, which ran over six parts, is a sci-fi tale about a man stuck in a time loop who is trying to fix the biggest mistake he’s ever made. In the process, he has to kill other versions of himself also trying to fix their own mistakes.

It’s pretty weird that they’re both called Kill Me and both from Dark Horse, but a rep for the company confirmed they are two separate stories with no connection.

Kill Me — the movie — is planning to start shooting later this year.
