It’s Thursday, so you know what that means: time to head back to Godolkin University. Prime Video‘s hit superhero series Gen V is returning with a new episode tonight, titled “The Whole Truth.”
Not only that, this week’s episode introduces Tek Knight, the world’s greatest superhero detective, to the series — and the universe of The Boys. Marie, Jordan Li, Andre, and Cate don’t stand a chance. Maverick should be fine, though.
Wondering what time does Gen V come out on Amazon’s Prime Video? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s what you need to know about Gen V Episode 4.
What Time Does Gen V Come Out? Gen V Episode 4 Release Time:
Technically, Amazon’s original series come out on Fridays. However, that’s not entirely accurate. Their originals actually hit online at Midnight, GMT. Meaning on the East Coast of the United States, new episodes premiere at 8 p.m. ET on Thursdays. On the West Coast, the episodes premiere at 5 p.m. ET on Thursdays.
Therefore, Gen V Episode 4, “The Whole Truth,” should hit Prime Video tonight, Thursday, October 5 at 8 p.m. ET.
If you don’t see it there immediately, no need to panic. Sometimes it takes a while for episodes to cache properly. And rarely, like once happened with an episode of The Boys that sent the entire internet into a meltdown, there are technical issues. In that latter, extreme case, Amazon was able to fix the problem in an hour or two. So calm down.

Gen V Episode 4, “The Whole Truth” Synopsis:
Here’s Amazon’s official synopsis for this week’s episode:
The World’s Greatest Superhero Detective, Tek Knight, pays a visit to campus and threatens to expose the secrets of Godolkin on his hit series on Vought+, “The Whole Truth.” Marie discovers a new attribute with her powers when she’s threatened by a fellow classmate. Marie, Andre, Cate & Jordan try to stop powerful hero, Sam, while Emma shows everyone another side of her powers.
Who Plays Tek Knight On Gen V?
Tek Knight has been mentioned multiple times on The Boys, but won’t debut in the flesh until this week’s episode of Gen V. The character is the stand-in from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comics for Iron Man, and was one of the rare nice Supes. Thought, don’t worry, he had some depraved urges that came out eventually.
On TV, he’s played by Derek Wilson, who you might know as Wolf from the Hulu series Future Man, or as Kent Benny on the cult classic Rectify. However, fans of the AMC show Preacher might recognize him best as Donnie Schenck. And big ol’ nerds might be interested to know he voiced Spider in this year’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. He was also Detective Tim Munroe in the live-action Birds of Prey, which I’m not going to type out the full name for.
Regardless, after this week, Derek Wilson will forevermore be known as Tek Knight.
