It’s the last week of the month, but there are still plenty of new comics this week for you to enjoy. Or hate! I don’t know, do your thing.
From Marvel, we’ve got a new issue of Ultimate Spider-Man which looks to delve further into the mystery of the Green Goblin, and give Peter Parker a new costume. Over in the non-Ultimate Universe, Jackpot and Black Cat teams up the titular characters. And there’s lots of Wolverine to tide you over, including the official comic prequel X-Men ’97, the end of the Beast saga in X-Force #50, and the Sabretooth War continuing in Wolverine #46.
DC Comics’ most exciting new release is Batman: Dark Age #1 from Mark Russell and Mike Allred, giving a ginchy new look to the Dark Knight. The Penguin brings Oswald back to Gotham City, and it’s sure to be devastating. And two great titles you should be reading release new issues: Alan Scott: The Green Lantern, and Amazons Attack. Both full of big action, and some big heart too.
But our number one release of the week? The Goon: Them That Don’t Stay Dead #1 from Dark Horse Comics, which brings back Eric Powell’s singular creation after a few years away. There’s also the final issue of Becky Cloonan and Tula Lotay’s erotic horror title Somna from DSTLRY, a new issue of The Ministry of Compliance from IDW, and we highly recommend Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner’s Feral #1. It’s like Walking Dead, but with cats!
