He’s baaaaack. Spoilers for last week’s episode of Invincible past this point, but Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons) has returned. And in the very brief Episode 4 promo, we get to see the immediate aftermath of this revelation. Omni-Man versus Invincible (Steven Yeun) round two incoming?
Well, not exactly. No spoilers here, but things don’t turn out the way you might expect, at least when it comes to the comics by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley. That said, as the official Invincible account teased on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter), “If you experience emotional damage, you may be entitled to compensation from R Kirkman LLC.”
While we doubt that’s an actual corporation, chances are that even without a knock-down, drag-out fight, there’s still going to be a lot of baggage to unpack. After all, last time Mark, aka Invincible, saw Nolan, aka Omni-Man, the latter was pummeling the former into the side of a mountain. It was only through Mark appealing to Nolan’s… Well, not humanity, since he’s an alien Viltrumite; but empathy, that Nolan held back from a killing blow.
So why is Nolan on a planet filled with intelligent bugs? And what will happen to Mark now that he’s faced with his father once again? And what bonkers thing will Shapesmith do this episode? We’ll have to tune in at 8pm ET on Thursday, November 23, aka Thanksgiving, for the midseason finale to find out.

Invincible Season 2 Premiere Dates And Episode Guide:
Invincible Season 2 officially premiered on Prime Video on Thursday, November 2 at 8 pm ET / 5 pm PT. Though Season 2 will be eight episodes long, only one episode will premiere on Thursday, followed by the next three Thursdays. Then there will be a break, and the second half of Invincible Season 2 will premiere sometime in 2024.
