Marvel ‘TVA’ Comic Brings The Org In Line With The MCU, Thanks To Miss Minutes

The Time Variance Authority is heading to Marvel Comics. Actually, let’s hop back in time and fix that one. The TVA has been in Marvel Comics for years… But now the organization is getting a makeover to look more like what’s seen on screen in Loki and Deadpool & Wolverine. And yep, that means Miss Minutes is along for the ride.

The new five-issue limited series will be written by Loki writer Katharyn Blair, and drawn by Pere Perez. The news was announced by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski at the Marvel Fanfare Panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

In the new series, Miss Minutes will recruit Ghost-Spider, Captain Carter, a “heartbroken” Remy Lebeau, and more as they’re “sent throughout the multiverse on vital missions to repair wild temporal anomalies and keep reality itself from shattering!”

“I love this idea,” said Feige via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “It’s just as cool for us to see our work in comics as it is to bring the work of comic book creators to the big screen.”

As revealed at the panel, the series will also include other cartoon characters like Miss Minutes: Sir Seconds, and Doc Clock.

The TVA was first introduced in 1986’s Thor #372, by Walt Simonson and Sal Buscema. Originally, they were all the same character, based on Marvel writer/editor Mark Gruenwald. However, recent issues of Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider have introduced other characters, including one that eerily looks like a character from Loki Season 2.

Check out the cover for the issue by Larraz, which also clearly features the Owen Wilson version of Mobius M. Mobius, OB (aka Ke Huy Quan), Sylvie (Sophia di Martino), and Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) below. The first issue hits stores on December 18, 2024.
