As Gen V Season 1 (and yes, the show has been renewed for Season 2) builds to a crescendo, things are also tightening up between the spinoff and the mothership show, The Boys. Take the Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) cameo in Episode 6. Or the fact that the seventh episode promo brings in Congresswoman Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit)… And teases what Homelander’s (Antony Starr) new world order is like after the final episode of The Boys Season 3.
A bit of a recap for those who might be foggy on The Boys Season 3. Neuman is a congresswoman who is also a secret Supe. She has the power to make people’s heads explode, something she’s used to get herself in a position of extreme power. Specifically, at the end of Season 3, she teamed up with US Defense Secretary Bobby Singer (Jim Beaver), aka Dakota Bob, to kick off a run at the White House.
Meanwhile, Homelander was neutered and frustrated after finding out Soldier Boy is his father, losing his status in The Seven, and generally spending all season holding himself back. Relatively speaking. And then at a rally outside the ruins of Vought Tower, while introducing his son to the crowd, he finally did what we knew he was going to do since season 1… He used his laser vision and sliced a protestor in half. And the crowd of incels loved it. Yikes!
How Does Victoria Neuman Show Up In Gen V Episode 7?
Those are the two plots we’re picking up in a big way, based on the promo for Gen V Episode 7. While we still have a focus on Marie (Jaz Sinclair) and the rest of the students, as well as Dean Shetty’s (Shelley Conn) evil plan, there are also strong teases of what’s going on in the larger world. First, we get to see Neuman interacting with Marie, presumably during a campus visit.
But the bigger scene is at a Singer/Neuman rally which, based on a scene earlier in the Episode 7 promo seems to be the Godolkin Town Hall. There, a teen Supe wearing a Homelander shirt goes wild and lasers the American flag, nearly killing Neuman in the process. Clearly, the new world order created by Homelander’s actions in the Season 3 finale is having huge repercussions in the rest of the world… Something that is creeping into Gen V Episode 7 (at the very least), and will also presumably lead to some big things going down in The Boys Season 4.
