Brainiac on SyFy’s Krypton is an attractive man and I don’t know what to do about this.
Okay, that’s not exactly true: the actor who plays Brainiac on the show, Blake Ritson, is an attractive man. At least more attractive than a green-skinned supercomputer with black tentacles that’s drives a massive skull ship across the universe consuming worlds.
Yet my jaw kind of dropped when I saw Ritson out of makeup (and getting into makeup) in this short behind the scenes doc SyFy has released about creating the DC Comics villain for the first time on screen. I mean, look at this guy!
More like Brawniac, am I right? More like “Want to brain-iac,” AM I RIGHT???
As Ritson says in the clip, “I hope to haunt your dreams for many years to come.” Yeah, you bet, WINK WINK.
Here’s the official description from SyFy:
Set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe, The Halcyon) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, Krypton is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy). Cameron Welsh (Ash vs Evil Dead) will serve as executive producer and showrunner.
