New Comics This Week: Full Comics List For May 8, 2024

With Free Comic Book Day finally out of the way, we can get on to the real deal: Ca$h Money Comic$. And we’ve got your full list of new comic books coming for May 7, 2024, and May 8, 2024.

Marvel is all-in on their first true line-wide event in a good long while with Blood Hunt. That includes spinoff series like Blood Hunters, Dracula, and Strange Academy. But you’re also getting tie-in issues in Amazing Spider-Man, Venom, Doctor Strange and Avengers… With more to come.

From DC Comics, the biggest new release is The Boy Wonder #1 from Juni Ba, a Black Label series focusing on Damian Wayne that looks absolutely lovely. Batman #147 continues its not-so-stealth lead-in to the Absolute Power event. And Shazam!, Poison Ivy, and Birds of Prey release new issues, and those comics are the bee’s knees.

BOOM! Studios brings back The Armory Wars after a very long break. Meanwhile, Phillip Kennedy Johnson returns to the publisher with a new title, Crocodile Black. IDW has a small release, big week with the finale of Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees, and the kick-off of the anthology title TMNT: Black, White And Green. And Image is 2 Skottie Young 2 Furious with new issues of I Hate Fairyland and his new book Ain’t No Grave.
