The shortest month is already over halfway done, and that means so are the new comics you’re going to buy this month. Time to complete that haul, yo!
Marvel Comics is releasing a few big ones, including Ultimate Spider-Man #2, a bonafide hit if there ever was one. Plus, they’re wrapping up the current “Guardians are trees” storyline in Guardians of the Galaxy Annual, Predator: The Last Hunt continues Ed Brisson’s saga, and Beast and Wonder Man hang out in X-Force #49.
Over at DC Comics, the Joker: Year One storyline wraps up in Batman #144. Wonder Woman (probably) loses to her biggest villains in Wonder Woman #6. And Nightwing #111 is something to treasure now that we know Tom Taylor is wrapping up his time on the title.
Over at BOOM! Studios, we have Man’s Best Ashcan, which is a designation but pretty funny if you read it as a title. DSTLRY has got their third title with Mirka Andolfo’s Blasfamous. Elvira Meets H.P. Lovecraft #1 potentially deals with Lovecraft’s racism. And Spawn #350 promises yet another total reinvention for the franchise.
