It’s the first new comics week of 2024, and everyone is still nursing their New Year’s hangovers… Except Marvel Comics, who is roaring into the first week of the year with a bunch of big releases. So let’s get into it.
First up? Fall of the House of X #1, which officially kicks off the beginning of the end of the X-Men’s Krakoa era. We’ve also got Vengeance of the Moon Knight #1, which picks up one month after the death of Moon Knight with a brand new Moon Knight. And squarely in my personal wheelhouse? Marvel Meow #1, a series of shorts teaming up Marvel superheroes with adorable kitty cats.
There are definitely some titles of interest beyond Marvel, though. Over at DC Comics is Kneel Before Zod #1, a series that focuses on Superman’s arch-enemy and promises some big, deadly things to come. BOOM! Studios has a Kyle Starks book, Pine and Merrimac #1, which makes it a must-buy on creator name alone. Dark Horse Comics is releasing The Midnite Show #4, wrapping up their wicked monster mash-up miniseries. And IDW is releasing The Ministry of Compliance #2, continuing the wild new sci-fi series from John Ridley and Stefano Raffaele.
