Dutch #0 Review:

Thirty years after he last appeared in comics, Dutch is back in this kick-off issue that’s probably best described as “What if John Wick but with Cable?”

Host Alex Zalben loved the mash-up of a classic ’90s Image Comics character getting pulled back for one last job, and had a “good time” with the issue.

Pete LePage agreed, adding that the book had “great art” and is “fast-paced” with “tons of action.”

While LePage had a bone to pick with the zero issue designation, Zalben noted, “I wouldn’t judge it by the zero issue at all. This feels like… the first half-hour of John Wick but… with Cable. Very fun. Great art pick it up.”

Justin Tyler agreed, shouting out to Nathan Fox’s art. He also compared it to fellow Image Comics ’90s riff title Local Man but more serious. “This didn’t even to me read like a zero issue,” Tyler added. “This read like a true number one.”
