Still riding that Scott Pilgrim Takes Off high? The hit Netflix anime has been out for two weeks now, and chances are you’ve already watched the eight episodes once, twice, maybe three (or more??) times already. Good news: if you’re looking for more, Netflix has released a nearly 11-minute-long look behind the scenes at how the Scott Pilgrim Takes Off animation studio, Science Saru, put the show together.
In the look, introduced by show co-creators Bryan Lee O’Malley and BenDavid Grabinski, Science Saru’s Abel Góngora shows fans just how the look of the series came to be. It’s a fascinating look behind the scenes, and thankfully is also a relatively (for you know, the internet) long look at it, too. Meaning it’s a little more than the “we looked at Bryan’s book and then BAM here’s a show” behind-the-scenes videos you usually get for these sorts of things.
