Is Doc Ock back as Spider-Man? That’s the big question in Marvel’s new The Superior Spider-Man #1, which hits stores on November 15, 2023.
The title actually soft-launched this past week with The Superior Spider-Man Returns #1, which featured Otto Octavius revisiting familiar haunts in order to access his missing memories from his time in the Spider-suit. Instead, he created a new villain who is hunting down Peter Parker. Yuh-oh!
The new issue is written by Dan Slott with art by Mark Bagley, and we have a first advance look at the issue right here. In the pages, we get to see several eras all mixing together… The current one where Doc Ock is watching this new, flaming villain fight Spider-Man and Spider-Boy. And looks at Ock’s time as Spider-Man himself.
Oh, and if you’re wondering about Doctor Octopus’s tentacles: he has these goop-tentacles now, each with their own mini-brain. It’s pretty gross!
