You guys keep talking about Father Delgado buying liquor instead of bread like he changed his mind, but it seemed clear to me that he was just holding the bread as an excuse in case someone from his congregation/community saw him while he was in line, and he never wanted bread at all.
Ohhh, interesting. I didn’t really see it that way; it seemed like he was buying bread, got frustrated, and fell off the wagon. But I can definitely see the way you’re saying it, too!
