Valiant Comics has been through a number of iterations. First founded in 1989, it was part of the ’90s boom with hit characters like X-O Manowar, Harbinger, and Magnus, Robot Fighter. The publisher lay dormant after that for decades, until it was revamped in the mid-2010s. The characters were brought back, given a new sheen, and led to a new superhero universe.
However, through various other corporate restructurings, Valiant is once again (as of this writing) in a time of flux. After Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot failed to start a new cinematic universe, the publisher is once again focusing on their core: comics.
