The Boys is tearing through characters faster than they can introduce them in Season 4, with multiple horrific deaths in the first three episodes alone. That includes Anika, a character you’ve seen before — but may be scratching your head, wondering why they look so familiar.

Who Is Anika on The Boys?
Anika has been on The Boys since Season 1’s “Cherry,” aka the series’s second episode. You might remember the scene, the first time we head to the Crime Analytics division on the show. In it, Homelander (Antony Starr) is trying to figure out where Translucent (Alex Hassell) has gotten to. And that’s where we meet Anika, aka the only person who seems to get dialogue in Crime Analytics. In the scene, Anika tells Homelander she can’t give him the info he needs — and then caves almost immediately.
Of note, we find out pretty early on: she loves Almond Joys, her defining character trait. Also, my defining character trait, so we have that in common.
We saw Anika again in Season 2, Episode 4 “Nothing Like It In The World,” when Black Noir similarly came to Crime Analytics, trying to find info on Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). Continuing the bit, Anika says no, and then gives up everything.
Anika had two other brief appearances on the show in the Season 3 episodes “The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies,” and “The Instant White-Hot Wild.” In the former, it’s revealed that Anika is the only remaining employee of the Crime Analytics department after The Deep fired everyone; as an ominous prelude to her eventual demise, she helps Starlight (Erin Moriarty) find Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). Then in the second episode, the Season 3 finale, Ashley (Colby Minifie) and Anika find footage of Maeve (Dominique McElligott) alive and delete it — keeping Maeve safe.
How Does Anika Die In The Boys Season 4?
“We’ll Keep The Red Flag Flying Here” ties up The Anika Saga. In it, we get the same sort of thing, albeit in Ashley’s office, instead of in the Crime Analytics department. Anika initially tells Sage (Susan Heyward) and Homelander that she doesn’t have any info on Starlight — but then when told it’s not a big deal, she should just tell them everything she starts to talk. And immediately after admitting she did chat with Starlight, Homelander lasers her through the head.
The extra joke here, unless you’re Anika, who is now dead, is that she was about to say something important… But Homelander lasered her through the head, first. Alas, poor Anika. We knew ye well.
Who Is Ana Sani, The Actress Who Plays Anika On The Boys?
While she’s small potatoes on The Boys, Canadian actress Ana Sani has a big career as a voice artist, including playing Mysticon Striker and Piper Willowbrook on Mysticons, Cleo on Ollie’s Pack, Izzy Moonbow on My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake on various Strawberry Shortcake movies and series.
According to the surprisingly detailed X-Ray feature on Amazon, Sani was born on September 14, 1991, making her 33 years old. She’s also 5’4″ (or 1.62 meters) tall. Why do they know how tall Ana Sani is? No idea!
