Hot on the heels of the weirdly controversial Mandalorian and Grogu Super Bowl ad (come on, it was funny you guys) comes a new, full trailer for the Star Wars flick. And not only do you get plenty of Pedro Pascal with his helmet off to assure you, yes, he was on set for the movie, but also we get our first look at the character find of the century: Baby Greedo.
Is the character named Baby Greedo? Probably not. But unlike how we didn’t hold the line when it came to Baby Yoda, here we’re giving no quarter… I don’t care if that baby is officially named Blogu or Drogu or whatever. That’s Baby Greedo, and we’re sticking to it.
Anyway, while we still don’t explicitly get a ton about the actual plot of the movie, we do see that Mando and his young ward will be going up against villainous gangster Rotta the Hutt (Jeremy Allen White), who is sadly the son of Jabba The Hutt and not his cousin (see The Bear for an explanation of that joke).
Also? They’re the good guys now, taking on all the baddies in the book while backing up Sigourney Weaver’s Ward, a leader in the New Republic who is looking to stop another war, this time with the surging Imperial Remnant. Spoiler: they don’t stop that. But we also get plenty of tugging of the heartstrings thanks to America’s Dad Pedro Pascal talking about how Grogu will survive him by hundreds of years, so he has to take the time they have left together to teach him everything he can.
Plus plenty of Star Wars monsters, an appearance by Star Wars Rebels Garazeb “Zeb” Orrelios, I’m pretty sure that’s director Jon Favreau working (in CGI) as a chef at yet another food truck, and did I mention Baby Greedo? Oh, I did? Okay.
Watch the new trailer below. The Mandalorian and Grogu and Baby Greedo arrives in theaters on May 22, 2026.
