If you’re checking out a James Gunn movie or TV show, you know there’s going to be a great soundtrack. That was true for the DCU’s Creature Commandos, it was true for Superman… And of course, you’re going to be rocking out to some sweet tunes for Peacemaker, Season 2, as well, now that the show is back on HBO Max.
We’ve only got one episode left, as of this writing, but there’s a brand-new opening credits dance number, some infectious rock songs under action scenes and sweet scenes, and more.
With that in mind, we broke down all the songs in show, episode by episode, below. We also embeded them for your listening pleasure, where available.
Oh, and spoilers past this point!
Note: This article has been updated as of Thursday, October 2, through Episode 7 of the season.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 1, “The Ties That Grind”: Full Track List
“Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam
Subbing in for last season’s breakout hit “Do You Wanna Taste It” by Wig Wam, this year’s main theme is by the band Foxy Shazam, and plays over the opening credits dance number.
“Don’t Ever Leave Me” by Hanoi Rocks
Six months later, after Chris Smith (John Cena) discovers the DC2 dimension in the Quantum Unfolding Chamber (QUC), we pick up with this song playing in Leota Adebayo’s (Danielle Brooks) car. Also note, there’s an alternate dimension Hanoi Roxx teased at the end.
“Guestlist” by Hardcore Superstar
After a fight with Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland), Chris heads back to his place for a night of hard drugs and bisexual orgies, while this song kicks in.
“Dreamer” by Foxy Shazam
Completely wasted from the party, Peacemaker stumbles through the QUC and heads to DC2, wandering in wonder around the house he shares with his “dad” and “brother,” while yet another Foxy Shazam song plays.
“Blue Jeans” by Silvertide
Harcourt also isn’t doing great, so she heads to the biker bar Gabriel’s Horn. As she walks in, this is playing, presumably on the jukebox. The song continues to play as she beats the crap out of pretty much everyone in the bar.
“Outrage” by Sister Sin
Right after being discovered by the DC2 version of Peacemaker, our Chris accidentally kills him in the QUC… And as we cut to the end credits, this song plays.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 2, “A Man Is Only as Good as His Bird”: Full Track List
Editorial Note: “Oh Lord” by Foxy Shazam plays over the opening dance number of every episode. You can listen to it above, but we won’t repost it for every episode this season because that would be very annoying.
“Evil Thoughts” by Foxy Shazam
This song begins playing as Peacemaker and Vigilante (Freddie Stroma) take out tools to dismember the DC2 version of Peacemaker that our Peacemaker accidentally killed last episode. It continues throughout the montage as they chop him up and dispose of the body parts by using the kyphotic alien’s incinerator.
“Reapercussion” by The Cruel Intentions
While Fleury (Tim Meadows) is told to hold and watch Chris by Sacha Bordeaux (Sol Rodríguez), ARGUS assembles a team of operatives anyway to take Peacemaker down. We meet this ragtag squad to the song noted above.
“Dirty Money” by Ida Maria
After absolutely obliterating Fleury’s team, Eagly does a slo-mo victory walk to this song. That transitions into another montage, this time the “11th Street Kids,” aka the remaining team from Season 1, partying on Harcourt’s rooftop. The song continues to play as we watch the team bond and chat at the party.
“This Time It’s Love” by D’Molls
Back at the party, Peacemaker and Harcourt have a heart-to-heart while this song plays.
“We Don’t Need A Cure” by Hardcore Superstar
Peacemaker, drunk and sad, heads back to the DC2 after trying to text that Earth’s version of Harcourt from the Peacemaker’s phone (the one our Peacemaker incinerated). Once he gets to DC2 the text goes through, and he starts texting with the alt-Harcourt, while this song plays, leading us into the closing credits.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 3, “Another Rick up My Sleeve”: Full Track List
“Break It Out” by Ammotrack
In the DC2 dimension, Peacemaker discovers he has a sweet Peace-cycle. He rides it through town while crowds cheer, children cry, and women show him their breasts. “Best. Dimension. Ever.” says Peacemaker.
“Dreamer” by Ozzy Osbourne
This song by the recently late Osbourne plays while Harcourt 2 and Peacemaker take a walk around the neighborhood.
“Animal” by Shining
As Peacemaker revels in being a hero in DC2 and shares a drink with his brother, the Eagly Kill Squad pulls up at Peacemaker’s house in the DCU.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 4, “Need I Say Door”: Full Track List
“Please Don’t Leave Me” by Pretty Maids
This song plays on the radio of Adebayo’s car while she drives to a new location for the QUC with Peacemaker.
“A Shot at Redemption” by H.e.a.t.
In the closing minutes of the episode, Red St. Wild (Michael Rooker) gets mostly nude and chants around a fire in order to connect his inner eye to the “Prime Eagle,” who he believes in Eagly. And the song continues as the rest of the cast convenes on a park in Evergreen where Peacemaker and Harcourt are about to have a heart-to-heart.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 5, “Back To The Suture”: Full Track List
“Ain’t That Kinda Girl” by Diemonds
After Harcourt takes down Peacemaker — to save his life, mind you — this song starts playing, while ARGUS trusses him up. It continues to play while Adebayo gets her first customer who, unfortunately, thinks she’s a prostitute.
“November Rain” by Guns N’ Roses
After shutting the portal behind him, Peacemaker washes the blood off his face in DC2 while the Guns N’ Roses classic plays. It continues as Adebayo reads Peacemaker’s goodbye message to the 11th Street Kids.
“Take Me for a Ride” by Bad City
Now in possession of the dimensional suitcase thingy, the 11th Street Kids head to another location to figure out how to use it, and go get Chris back.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 6: Full Track List
“Little Drops of Heaven” by Pretty Maids
This song plays right towards the beginning of the episode as Peacemaker and the Top Trio take a very disturbing group photo in a restaurant.
“Forever and One (Neverland)” by Helloween
Peacemaker wakes up with Harcourt from DC2, and the song continues as Keith drives Harcourt (DCU style) to ARGUS. They even discuss how Keith thinks they’re considered side by side with The Beatles, who are led by Mick Jagger in the alternate dimension. The song continues through a Harcourt shower scene, Vigilante staking out his alternate dimension double’s house, and more.
“Presence of Mind” by Dynazty
As Adebayo is chased by a crowd of crazed racists in the DC2, this begins to play, and continues over the closing credits.
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 7: Full Track List
“Still Pretending” by First Signal
This song plays as Peacemaker escapes ARGUS on Earth-X with Harcourt.
“We Can Never Die” by Vains of Jenna
The 11th Street Kids escape Earth-X while this tune plays, up until they’re confronted by ARGUS back in the DCU.
“Goretex Weather Report” by Shining
End credits song as the gang is arrested by ARGUS!
Peacemaker, Season 2, Episode 8: Full Track List
