Invincible Season 3 is in the books. And with the finale now streaming on Prime Video, there’s one natural follow-up question… When will Invincible Season 4 premiere???
Full disclosure up top, Prime Video has yet to announce a premiere date for Invincible Season 4. However, before you immediately click out and bash your laptop with your head like — spoilers past this point — Invincible (Steven Yeun) obliterating Conquest (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), just know that based on the release patterns for previous seasons, plus comments from the producers, we have a fairly educated guess as to when the season may premiere.
So with that in mind, let’s get into it, and discuss what we know about the Invincible Season 4 premiere date, so far.
Will There Be A Season 4 Of Invincible?
First and foremost: yes, there will be a Season 4 of Invincible. The animated series was renewed by Prime Video on July 26, 2024, as announced at San Diego Comic-Con. The news came after the finale of Season 2, and well in advance of the premiere of Season 3 this past February.
However, as of this writing, Invincible has not yet been picked up for Season 5. There was an apparently erroneous posting on an investment platform teasing a fourth and fifth season, which has since been amended. And recently, show creator Robert Kirkman noted the show has only been picked up through Season 4. TBD if this year’s San Diego Comic-Con leads to a Season 5 renewal announcement.
When Will Invincible Season 4 Premiere On Prime Video? What We Know:
Okay, let’s get into the meat of what we’re talking about here. Invincible has had a sporadic, at best, release schedule, which probably leads to fears that we’ll have to wait years for Invincible Season 4. To that I say: don’t worry, it’s gonna be sooner than that. Probably.
Here’s the release schedule so far… Season 1 streamed from March 25, 2021 to April 29, 2021. An Atom Eve Special surprise-dropped in July of 2023. Season 2 streamed in two chunks, from November 3, 2023 to April 4, 2024, which was not their most popular decision. And Season 3 has streamed without a break form February 6, 2025 to March 13, 2025.
General rule of thumb is it takes about a year and a half to two years to make an animated season of television, and that’s pretty much exactly what we’re seeing above. Season 1 took a while, because first seasons always take a while (the series was originally ordered in 2018). The little mistake that was made was Season 2 wasn’t greenlit until Season 1 finished airing. However, Prime Video did pick them up for two seasons at that point — which as we saw, also included the special. Hence Season 2 taking a while and getting split up, to get them back on a yearly schedule for Season 3.
For Season 4, as noted above, it was formally renewed last July. Likely, some work started before then, meaning there’s every chance that Invincible Season 4 will be ready to go in 2026. And Kirkman has stated that are working on wrapping up Season 4, meaning it could potentially be done even sooner than next summer. I’m going to take a wild stab here and say that if they can continue apace, we may see Invincible Season 4 premiere in March, 2026.
Is it possible it could be earlier? Probably not. Later? Surely, though Kirkman also has said they’re going to avoid specials so that they can keep on pace with the yearly release schedule. So March is a good bet for Season 4. And here’s hoping Amazon picks up the show ASAP for Season 5 and 6, so they can keep this Invincible train rolling.

Season 3 of Invincible will premiere on Prime Video on Thursday, February 6 at 3 am ET / 12 am PT with three new episodes. New episodes will then roll out one a week until the season finale on March 13, 2025.
