‘Invincible’ Voice Cast: Who’s Who In Season 3, Episode 8, Including Bruce Campbell?

After eight jam-packed and uber-violent episodes, Invincible Season 3 is in the books with today’s episode, “I Thought You’d Never Shut Up.” And while most of the hour is devoted to the showdown between Invincible and Conquest, there are still plenty of surprises in store. So who’s who in the Invincible Season 3, Episode 8 voice cast? Read on.

But first, a recap for the episode, to provide context — and feel free to skip ahead if you just want the voice cast breakdown. Spoilers past this point. As mentioned above, most of the hour is a non-stop, horrifying fight between Conquest, the Viltrumite warrior sent to prepare Earth for, er, conquest, and Invincible. In the middle of this, Oliver tries to stop Conquest, and gets seriously hurt.

We briefly discover that DA Sinclair is trying to make Reanimen out of the Invincibles who were killed last episode, but they aren’t ready yet. And with Oliver out of commission, Eve pulls herself out of the hospital bed she was left in, and goes to save Mark.

For a bit, it even looks like it may work as she gets a magic girl armor transformation sequence and everything. That is until Conquest breaks her armo, and punches a hole through her body. Mark screams and sobs, but it seems like Eve dies. “I can see the future,” Mark says. “You don’t live to see tomorrow.” He then flies at Conquest, punching him so hard that he destroys his own arm, as well as Conquest’s cyborg arm.

Unbeknownst to the duo, while they fight Eve remakes her own body, and the nude Eve blasts Conquest with all she’s got, peeling his skin off. While she falls back down, Conquest crushes Mark’s other hand, leaving Mark only his head as a weapon. And just like Negan did to Glenn on The Walking Dead, Mark headbutts Conquest’s head until there’s nothing left.

Conquest seemingly dead, Mark crawls to the crater where the naked Eve is lying, alive. Mark says “I love you,” Eve is surprised she’s naked, and Cecil is mostly confused when he shows up to rescue them.

The rest of the episode is spent on wrapping up the season, and teeing up what’s next. Eve explains how she rebuilt her body, which is that she can access her full powers in times of stress (see the Atom Eve Special for more on this). Cecil shows Conquest’s “body” to Mark, who says to burn it, thinking he’s dead. And then we get a funeral for Rex Splode, where Robot changes his name from Rudy to Rex in his honor.

Eve, meanwhile, is too distraught to give a speech at the funeral, so instead she and Mark go back to his place to do it, and she removes his costume using her powers — which melts into plants and rocks. Turns out her powers might not be as blocked as she thinks. We also see Rus, the astronaut taken over by Sequids, who is building an army. Battle Beast comes out of hibernation, ready to kill more Viltrumites. The Technicians rebuild Angstrom’s arm and tell them they’re ready to take on other worlds. And Cecil has Conquest in a “secure” facility, alive, ready to question him about the Viltrumite army.

Two last things happen. One, Mark tells Oliver that he’s realized that if anyone threatens his family? He’s gonna kill them, bringing the emotional arc of the season to a close. And then in the mid-credits scene, Damien Darkblood returns, having summoned a demon lord… Damien has discovered someone immensely powerful, and is going to conjure them in Hell. Uh-oh, see you in Season 4!

Invincible Season 3, Episode 8 “I Thought You’d Never Shut Up” Cast: Who’s Who In The Voice Cast?

As usual, we’re not going to recap the main cast, you can check out previous breakdowns for that. And yes, that’s still Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Conquest from the previous episode.

However, let’s start with the literal headline here because hail to the king, baby, Bruce Campbell is the voice of the demon lord at the end of the episode. You know Campbell as Ashley J. Williams from the Evil Dead series, as well as his cameos in every other Sam Raimi film. Among other things. This is, by the way, an original character for the series we should likely be seeing a lot more of in Season 4.

Also in that scene is Clancy Brown as Damien Darkblood, who got sucked back down to Hell in Season 1. Darkblood, not Clancy Brown. To be clear. Brown has also voiced Kregg and Ka-Hor on Invincible. You might also know him as Mr. Krabs from SpongeBob, Sal Maroni from The Penguin, or any number of another million roles.

After a few episodes away, Michael Dorn is back as Battle Beast. You know Dorn as Worf from Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. And back from last season is Rus the astronaut, voiced by Ben Schwartz, who also voices Shapesmith. Schwartz famously voices Sonic the Hedgehog in the movies of the same name, and has appeared on Parks & Recreation among other shows and movies.
