Who Plays P.A. Bonnie On ‘The Boys’? Meet Conni Miu

Conni Miu as P.A. Bonnie on The Boys Season 4 Episode 5

On the latest episode of The Boys, Season 4, Episode 5, “Beware The Jabberwock, My Son,” one of the storylines focuses on the V52 Expo, an event “for fans, by fans,” where the Vought corporation introduces its overwhelming slate of films and TV shows. And backstage at this event, a key new character is P.A. Bonnie, played by actress Conni Miu. But who is P.A. Bonnie? And who is Conni Miu?

As usual, you’ve come to the right place to get answers to those questions. Congrats: you correctly read the headline of an article. As a bonus, beyond P.A. Bonnie and Conni Miu, we’ll also explain what happened with Adam Bourke and Minka Kelly.

Who Is P.A. Bonnie On The Boys Season 4?

We first meet P.A. Bonnie in Ashley’s office, where director Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne) is pitching Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) on Super School, a teen-focused series that Ryan really doesn’t want to do. Enter P.A. Bonnie, who is just trying to do her job and keep things running on time… Which is what a Production Assistant (that’s where the P.A. comes from) is supposed to do.

But Bourke, instead, is making her uncomfortable, clearly, bringing up a series of texts he sent to her that she hasn’t responded to. Bonnie pretends she’s getting a call, and leaves the room.

Later, backstage at V52, Ryan tells his dad Homelander (Antony Starr) that what he really wants to do is save people. So Homelander suggests he start with Bonnie. Ryan calls over Bonnie, and tells Bourke to apologize for his behavior. He does but in a cursory way. Then they make him get down on his knees and apologize again, but it’s still just boilerplate language you use when you’ve sexually harassed someone. Homelander being Homelander, this turns abusive as he suggests to Ryan that Bonnie slap Bourke as he apologizes. Which she does. Repeatedly.

The last we see or hear of P.A. Bonnie in this episode is her slapping the s**t out of Bourke while he sobs and wails, with Homelander and Ryan looking on and giggling.

What Happened With Bourke And Minka Kelly?

So, a little side-step here. This episode is very much a crossover with the spinoff series Gen V. If you’ve only watched The Boys, you know Bourke as a dweeb and a hack action director, but you may not know him as a serial sexual abuser. But! It actually sets the ground for what happens here on The Boys.

In Gen V, Season 1, Episode 2 “First Day,” it was revealed that Bourke had been put in “director’s jail” for exposing himself to Minka Kelly. Consequently, he was now teaching acting at Godolkin University. That’s the long and the short of it, but it gets worse in this episode of The Boys, as when Homelander turns down Bourke’s pitch for Super School, the director says, “Is this because I jerked it in front of Minka Kelly? Because, again, that was just crossed wires.”

So, not only is this a funny/gross running joke, but it actually helps to set up what happens with Bonnie, contextually. Not just that Bourke is an abuser, but he clearly doesn’t feel sorry about it, and in fact doesn’t think it’s all a big deal. Hence, the slapfest.
