Daredevil: Born Again is getting a new release date. Again. As revealed at Disney’s Upfront presentation to advertisers in New York City, the reboot of the reboot will premiere on Disney+ in March of 2025.
The continuation of the Netflix Daredevil series has been a long time coming. It’s been in development since 2022, and after Charlie Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Vincent D’Onofrio appeared as Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin in Hawkeye, it was officially announced that a reboot of the series was being worked on. Not only that, Marvel announced it would run 18 episodes, which is a wild amount considering most other Marvel series ran six.
…and then the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes happened, shutting down production on Daredevil: Born Again about halfway through filming the series. As that happened, Marvel reportedly took a second look and didn’t exactly like what they saw. The series underwent a “creative overhaul,” changing directors, writers, and even some of the stars.
Filming picked back up again in February of this year with either a shorter episode count or exactly the same number of episodes, depending on who you ask, and some clearer ties to the original series. Not only are Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson returning as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson respectively, but Born Again is also bringing back Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, among others.
Now, we know the series is expected to be released in March of 2025, though the exact premiere date is TBA. The series wrapped filming in New York last month. Like Agatha All Along, Daredevil: Born Again will fall under the brand-new Marvel Television banner.
