DC Reprints Every Absolute Universe Title:
DC Comics‘ Absolute Universe has been a huge hit. And now the publisher will be reprinting their entire line of Absolute Universe books. That’s right: individual issues of Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman, Absolute Flash, Absolute Green Lantern, and Absolute Martian Manhunter will be available to comic book stores this March.
The goal is to meet the demand for these single issues, which are regularly disappearing from stores, and help collectors fill in missing issues in their collections. But, I would argue more importantly, it allows new readers curious about the books to actually find them in stores, as the stores need them. Which should be the whole goal, right? Right.
To get a little more granular, on March 4 DC will release: Absolute Batman #1 (which is headed to its 11th printing) through Absolute Batman #14, Absolute Wonder Woman #1 (on a not too shabby eighth printing) through #11, and Absolute Superman #1 through #10.
Then on March 18, DC will offer Absolute Flash #1 through #5, Absolute Green Lantern #1 through #4, and Absolute Martian Manhunter #1 through #6, with each of those first issues already on their fourth printing.
Even better for comic book stores? There won’t be any Final Order Cutoff (FOC), they’ll be orderable as needed. Meaning the Absolute Universe books will be at stores, when you need ’em.
Alex Ross Reveals Marvel Dimensions Graphic Novel:
Alex Ross’ Fantastic Four: Full Circle, which brought the iconic artist back to drawing interiors for a new take on a classic Stan Lee and Jack Kirby story, was one of the most lauded graphic novels in years. And now, Ross is back with a brand new book: Marvel Dimensions, a 112-page graphic novel from Abrams ComicArts and Marvel Comics, which will hit stores this September.
Unlike Full Circle, Marvel Dimensions is much more experimental and will introduce up to 200 characters — or at least, as the title indicates, variations of classic characters. That includes the origins of characters like Spider-Man, Hulk, Wolverine, and Iron Man, as well as weird twists and turns — and even a 32-page traditional comic book in the center of the graphic novel that is “key” to the mysterious storyline.
Part of the purpose of this experimental format? Way back in the late ’90s, early 2000s, Ross did a series of tabloid-sized origin books for DC heroes, and he didn’t want to repeat that for Marvel. Those books would be Superman: Peace on Earth, Batman: War on Crime, Shazam! Power of Hope, and Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth, by the way.
Ross calls the book “like a combination of my most famous works, Marvels and Kingdom Come, where my love of comics history and ambitious world-building collide.” Which is a pretty high bar!
Marvel Dimensions hits stores on September 1, 2026.
Spider-Man Teams Up With José Andrés In Marvel’s Meals to Astonish:
Spider-Man is teaming up with chef José Andrés — and maybe Marvel EIC C.B. Cebulski — in the upcoming comic book Spider-Man: Meals to Astonish #1. The first in a series of one-shots, the book(s) will celebrate the life and accomplishments of Andrés throughout the year.
Written by Steve Orlando with art by Roi Mercado, in the book, per PR from the publisher, “Peter Parker heads downtown to photograph the opening of world-class chef José Andrés’ brand-new restaurant at New York’s famous Mercado Little Spain but soon finds it crashed by an insatiable villain: Electro! The electric fiend came prepared for Spider-Man, so José must chip in with Spidey to save the day—and everyone’s dinner!”
In addition to the main story, the one-shot will also feature the previously digital exclusive T.E.S.T. KITCHEN INFINITY COMIC, as well as new Spider-Ramen adventures by Ken Niimura. And finally, Jeff’s Table finds Jeff the Land Shark working in the kitchen, from Gustavo Duarte.
Spider-Man: Meals to Astonish #1 hits stores on March 11, 2026.
