This is Comic Book Club News for December 3, 2025.

Will Eisner Week 2026 Dates Announced:

The dates for the 2026 edition of Will Eisner Week have been announced.

Per ICv2, the annual celebration of the sequential art form will be held March 1 through 7, 2026 at comic book stores, bookstores, colleges and universities, museums, libraries and more. The theme for this year’s event is “Read a Graphic Novel,” a message we can definitely get behind — though for what it’s worth, that’s been the theme on and off since the event was first launched in 2009.

The annual event is much more about awareness of causes that were important to Eisner than celebrating the creator specifically, with the goal being to raise awareness of the intersection between free speech and sequential art.

But if you are an organization interested in participating, you’ll get posters, flyers, and social media support, and can sign up now on the Will Eisner official Facebook page.

Joann Sfar And Tony Sandoval Team Up For Dragons Of Paris:

Joann Sfar and Tony Sandoval are teaming up for The Dragons of Paris, a new graphic novel from Magnetic Press.

In the new book, dragons invade Paris during the 1900s for what one can assume is a much fancier version of the classic action flick Reign of Fire. Also featuring a Hawaiian princess and a mermaid, the 104-page graphic novel also features burgeoning romance because after all, it is Paris.

The Dragons of Paris hits stores on December 2, 2025.

H.P. Lovecraft Story Gets Adapted At Image Comics:

Back in 1937, famous racist H.P. Lovecraft wrote a classic tale with The Thing on the Doorstep. Before you think “oh, it’s probably mail on the doorstep,” well, it’s not, it’s way scarier than that. And now it’s going to be an Image Comics miniseries from writer Simon Birks and artist Willi Roberts.

The five issue miniseries focuses on the twisted friendship between two men, Daniel Upton and Edward Derby. When Daniel shoots a man and is sent to the — get this — Arkham Sanitarium, he claims innocence. And in a rare twist for Lovecraft, Derby goes insane.

The Thing on the Doorstep hits stores on February 11, 2026.

For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. And my apologies, Reign of Fire is extremely fancy on its own.
