EXCLUSIVE: The Spirit Of Aspen Lives On In Alexander Lozano’s ‘Ekos Volume 2’ Cover

The dream of the ’90s is alive on Kickstarter, as Aspen Comics is back in action with a brand new series, Ekos. And we have an exclusive look at artist Alexander Lozano’s cover to Ekos Volume 2

Ekos has an interesting pedigree. It’s, per PR provided to Comic Book Club, “a new comic and entertainment universe inspired by the art and creations of legends Michael Turner and Geoff Johns and produced by Marvel Studios Founder David Maisel and Aspen Comics.” And what that means in practice is that the books follow a new character, Grell, who encounters of the classic Aspen characters including — you guessed it — Aspen, as well as Grace.

In the first volume of the series, written by J.T. Krul with pencil art by Alex Konat, digital inks by Mark Roslan, colors by Peter Steigerwald, and letters by Josh Reed, the trio joined forces — and in Volume 2, that team-up continues.

The first volume launched last fall on Kickstarter and raised over $250,000, leading to development on an Ekos film and a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Now the second volume will launch tomorrow (October 21), and hopes to keep skiing down those Aspen slopes (aka, piles of money).
