Superman And Spider-Man To Cross Over:
If you were a sleuthy comic book fan who noticed two major comic book characters missing from Marvel and DC‘s first crossover comics in decades… Well, give yourself an extra shot of whiskey and some additional time morosely staring at the picture of your dead wife while you idly play with your wedding ring. Because DC and Marvel are indeed teaming up again in 2026, and so are Spider-Man and Superman.
Timed out to the 50th anniversary of the classic Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man: The Battle of The Century, which was written by Gerry Conway with art by Ross Andru, DC will publish two oversized Treasury Editions, measuring 10 1/8″ by 13 5/16″. First, on January 7, 2026, will be Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1. Then a month later on February 4, DC will print a facsimile titled DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1, which is a reprint of Marvel Treasury Edition #28, written by Jim Shooter and Marv Wolfman, with art by John Buscema.
That’s just the start, as in March, DC will publish Superman/Spider-Man #1, and in April, Marvel will publish Spider-Man/Superman #1. Like with the previous Deadpool and Batman crossover issues, these will feature a title bout and other stories featuring additional team-ups, with creative teams to be announced by the end of this year.
DC Teams Up With AEW:
DC is teaming up with All Elite Wrestling, aka AEW, for a two-issue comic book event.
Written by Steve Orlando, illustrated by Travis Mercer, with covers by Lucas Meyer, the book will find the AEW wrestlers teaming up with the Justice League to recover the Big Galactic Belt and save the universe.
The comic will be on sale at both comic book shops and AEW events in 2026, but the quid pro quo is going the other way, too: AEW will promote DC K.O., the comic book event series, culminating in DC being the presenting sponsor of the AEW Full Gear event in New Jersey.
Looking for a preview? AEW stars will be appearing next week with DC Comics creators at — where else — New York Comic Con.
Mad Cave Studios Expands Digital Offerings:
Mad Cave Studios is expanding its digital offerings.
Per a release from the publisher, they’ll now offer a fully functional digital reader and shop, a retailer hub, an Ambassador Hub — which is for reviewers and influencers — a featured creator spotlight, personalized recommendations, expanded product offerings like digital and physical bundles, promotions and rewards including slap bracelets, and faster performance.
And I know it sounds like I’m joking about the slap bracelets, but I’m not. The new platform includes all of Mad Cave’s imprints and is live now.
