Absolute Batman tops January comic book sales.
Dynamite introduces new SilverHawk.

This is Comic Book Club News for February 19, 2026.
Absolute Batman Tops January Best-Selling Comics:
Once again, Absolute Batman topped the list for best-selling comics of January, 2026… Except it actually took the the top two slots, with the Ark-M Special coming in at number one, and Absolute Batman #16 at number two.
Per ICv2, DC Comics took 20 slots on the Top 50 total, with Batman #5 at number three, and DC K.O. #3 at number four.
Marvel came it at number five with Ultimate Endgame #1, which seems unimpressive until you remember it came out in December, and nabbed the number two slot on the December 2025 chart. While only Ultimate Endgame and Amazing Spider-Man hit the Top 10, the publisher did snag 24 titles total, a slight advantage over DC.
As for other publishers, Skybound and Image’s Transformers #28 ranked highest. New issues of G.I. Joe, Exquisite Corpses, and Gunslinger Spawn also hit the charts. That left two slots for IDW, for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Beneath The Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring.
Dynamite Will Introduce Chromium, A New SilverHawk:
The highly anticipated ThunderCats x SilverHawks crossover is almost here from Dynamite, and the titular teams won’t be alone: the publisher is introducing a brand-new character named Chromium.
Written by Ed Brisson, and created by Declan Shalvey, the character Chromium is a new recruit to the SilverHawks, brought in to help with the surge of criminal activity after the team took down mob boss Mon*Star.
Per the publisher, “Chromium joins a team of Quicksilver and The Copper Kid on an impromptu mission defying Stargazer’s orders to investigate an anomaly in a long-dormant base in a quarantined sector. As they land on the forbidden planet, they’ll find themselves confronted by a fearsome band of strange, cat-like warriors and in a fight for their lives!”
ThunderCats X SilverHawks: Road to War #1 hits stores on March 18, 2026.
Celebrate Pride With Monsters In Love:
If you like watching monsters f**k, or like f**king monsters, have I got the comic book for you: Monsters in Love: A Pride Anthology, a new one-shot coming in June from Dark Horse Comics and Tiny Onion.
Spinning off the stories that have been running in the back of The Oddly Pedestrian Life of Christopher Chaos, the one shot will feature 10 tales of LGBTQIA+ horror and romance from James Tynion IV, Tate Brombal, Jadzia Axelrod, Vita Ayala, Zoe Tunnell, Josh Trujillo, Lee Knox Ostetag, Kenny Wroten, Jacoby Salcedo, Lilah Sturges, Vash Taylor, and more.
Monsters in Love will also feature a framing story from the creative team of Oddly Pedestrian, and everything from witches and Medusas to Creatures from the Black Lagoon.
Monsters in Love: A Pride Anthology hits stores on June 3, 2026.
