We know that all the Robins — except Damian Wayne — are coming to Absolute Batman. And now we might know when at least one of them will arrive, thanks to Nick Dragotta’s redacted cover for Absolute Batman #20.
While the cover for the DC Comics issue is, indeed, redacted, that redaction takes the form of a big “R” which doesn’t seem particularly subtle. Also, side-note: that’s the new MO for Absolute Batman covers, DC is releasing redacted versions to hide spoilers, then revealing the unredacted version after the publication of the previous issue; in this case, Absolute Batman #19 in April.
So, which Robin will it be — if it is Robin? The likeliest suspect is Dick Grayson, who has regularly been appearing the title and really doesn’t like Batman. It also could be Tim Drake, of course, or Jason Todd — though the latter has had his Red Hood moniker stolen by Harley Quinn. Perhaps there’s a swerve and it’s Stephanie Brown. Or maybe even Barbara Gordon, who we’ve been told is a key part of the upcoming storyline.
Whoever it is, check out the solicit info and cover below, and speculate wildly.
