This May, we’re [Coldplay voice] going back to the start with Oni Press‘ Murder Drones: Home Special #1. The one-shot adapts the fifth, shocking origin episode of Glitch Productions Murder Drones, from writer Wyatt Kennedy and artist Soo Lee.
“Murder Drones Episode 5, ‘Home,’ is such an important part of the overall story,” said Oni Press Editor-in-Chief Sierra Hahn via press release. “It’s a look behind the mask of the Disassembly Drones, who they were, and an early look at the Solver, through N’s buried memories. It’s a story about memories. The fear of losing memories and forgetting those closest to you. ‘Home’ needs to be explored as much as possible when adapting the episode to a comic book, and the best way is to give it the spotlight it deserves as its own standalone issue.”
In the issue, we’ll zoom back in time before the fall of the surface of Copper 9 to discover the secrets of N’s human family, the Elliots. Will they give Uzi and her friends the knowledge to stop the Absolute Solver Virus? Or will they cause an even bigger threat?
