Nicolas Cage, you’re never going to believe this, is going very weird in the first trailer for Spider-Noir. The live-action Spider-Man series from Prime Video, premiering on MGM+ and Prime Video, is set in the 1930s, comes in black and white and color, but also: Cage getting plastered.
Look, there’s a lot of comic book angles we could talk about here, as the footage teases Ben Reilly’s (Cage) origin as a Spider-hero, from fighting in World War I (probably) to getting bit by a spider (probably) to the intriguing glib tagline of “With no power comes no responsibility.” But we also get Cage, dressed as “The Spider,” beating up guys in a bar and then telling Lamorne Morris and Li Jun Li that he fought guys in a bar and then “got plaaaaaastered.”
It’s classic Cage weirdness, and while he plays a version of the character in the Spider-Verse movies, this seems to be a very different take. And if you are curious for Spider-stuff, there seems to be a hint that The Spider will be going up against Electro in the trailer. Also he swings around the city on webs, so I don’t know what they’re talking about with the “no powers” thing.
Anyway, watch the trailer below. And the better news? We finally have a premiere date: May 25, 2026 o MGM+’s broadcast channel, and then as a binge release on both MGM+ and Prime Video on May 27, 2026.
