Oni Press Ends Rick and Morty Run After 100 Issues:
One would have thought the five issue series Rick and Morty: The End would be the end of Oni Press’ run on Rick and Morty. But one would be wrong, because Oni is promising the actual end of their 100 plus issue long run on the franchise with the double-sized Rick and Morty Forever #0.
Written by Daniel Kibblesmith with art by Troy Little, the final issue will feature only one cover, and no blind bags. In it, Rick has been sentenced to universal knowledge, but only with the ability to observe. But in the process, he also discovers that something horrible awaits Morty. Will he give up his power to save his grandson?
You can find out when Rick and Morty Forever #0 hits stores on May 27.
Gail Simone Tackles She-Spawn In New Series:
First announced in 2024, Gail Simone and Ig Guara’s She-Spawn finally has a release date.
Per The Beat, while the character Jessica Priest has been regularly appearing in Spawn spinoff The Scorched, this will be a standalone miniseries with its own story arc. What is that story arc? “Priest now finds herself pulled into a brutal confrontation with an angelic cult determined to sacrifice a child in the name of their god. What begins as a mission quickly becomes something far more personal, forcing Jessica to confront the regret and responsibility that have followed her long after she stepped into the role of She-Spawn.”
She-Spawn #1 finally arrives in comic book shops on May 6, 2026.
Marvel Introduces Storm’s Daughter In May:
First teased last year, Storm’s daughter Furaha arrives in the May debuting Storm: Earth’s Mightiest Mutant #4. How do we know? Because the entire solicit text for the issue is “Furaha, Storm’s daughter arrives!”
How does she arrive? Who is she? Who is her father? We don’t know anything about that. But we do know a few other things about Marvel’s May X-Men titles, like Baba Yaga shows up in Magik & Colossus #4, Uncanny X-Men #28 reveals the identity of Inmate X, and X-Men of Apocalypse Omega promises “a shocking ending that will have X-Men fans talking for years.”
So there you go! Get hyped, X-Men fans!
