Raina Telgemeier Returns To Baby-Sitters Club For New Special:

Raina Telgemeier is heading back to the Baby-Sitters Club.

Per SKTCHD, the best-selling graphic novel creator is working with Gale Galligan to present a graphic novel adaptation of the 1988 Baby-Sitters Club Super Special. The first of 15 super-specials, titled “Baby-sitters On Board,” the book found the group flying to Florida to take a cruise to the Bahamas, and then visit Disney World. Whether they’ll be able to get the rights to depict the latter — the Baby-Sitters graphic novels are published by Scholastic Graphix, not Disney — is TBD, though the official synopsis teases they head back to Florida for “three days of fun at a huge amusement park.” So, uh, probably not.

K Czap will color the graphic novel, with Ray Baehr providing inks. The 320 page graphic novel will hit stores on September 15.

ReedPop Clarifies Relationship To ICE:

Last week, a bit of an online firestorm erupted when fans of comic book conventions noticed a connection between ReedPop, which produces New York Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, C2E2, and more, and the Department of Homeland Security. And now ReedPop has clarified its relationship with ICE — or lack thereof.

Per Graphic Policy, ReedPop is owned by RELX, which owns LexisNexis — and provides services to ICE. Given ReedPop collects data on convention attendees, the concern was that could be fed directly to DHS and ICE.

However, per a statement from ReedPop, “We at ReedPop do not sell customer information to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. ReedPop/RX operates entirely at arm’s length and independently. None of our data is shared for marketing or commercial use by any other entity within our parent company.”

That’s all well and good, but as Graphic Policy notes, spending money on ReedPop events does financially benefit RELX. Whether this connection will impact upcoming conventions is TBD.

Dynamite To Publish Classic Chaos Comics:

Dynamite is coughin’ up the big bucks for a brand-new co-publishing agreement with Coffin Comics, reuniting the characters of Chaos! Comics with reprints of classic stories.

First announced at Swornfest 2026 in Mesa, Arizona, Dynamite’s Nick Barrucci and Coffin’s Brian Pulido have teamed up to bring fans “limited-time reprint collections and merchandise, available through multiple channels, including direct-to-consumer crowdfunding campaigns and the direct market,” per PR provided by Dynamite. This will kick off with a Kickstarter for a three-volume set of Evil Ernie comics, presented in multiple formats, amounting to over 1,500 pages total. Dynamite also promises future Kickstarters focusing on Lady Death, Purgatori, Chastity, and the Coffin universe.

If you’re not familiar, Chaos! began in 1991 with Evil Ernie, created by Pulido and the late Steven Hughes. It spun off into other characters mentioned above, and the whole thing was Extremely Metal. Dynamite has actually owned the entire Chaos! library since 2010, other than Lady Death, but this marks a big expansion of the partnership.

For Comic Book Club News, I’m Alex Zalben. And here’s hoping they sub in that it’s a mouse themed theme park, that would be weird and fun.
