This is Comic Book Club News for January 30, 2026.

Marvel Reveals Details About Reborn: Ultimate Impact:

Marvel sent out a teaser to, uh, mixed results the other day teasing Reborn: Ultimate Impact. But as it turns out, this isn’t the Ultimate Universe continuing… It’s actually a five issue series by Chris Condon and Stefano Caselli dealing with the fallout of Ultimate Endgame in the mainline Marvel Universe.

Picking up the “Origin Boxes” storyline from Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion which found Miles Morales taking boxes containing super hero powers back from the Ultimate Universe to the main Marvel Universe, the series follows what happens next, as an organization called Primewarrior, working with The Spot, is coming after those Origin Boxes — and Miles.

It’ll also set up new characters, as well as continue to lay the groundwork for the upcoming Armageddon event.

Reborn: Ultimate Impact #1 hits stores on May 20.

DC Comics Is Collecting Compact Comics In A Box Set:

DC Comics’ line of Compact Comics have been a huge hit, thanks to their small size and sub $10 price point. Well, they’re about to get a lot larger — though not more expensive — thanks to an upcoming box set.

Per ICv2, DC will release a six-volume boxed set containing: All-Star Superman, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Batman: The Long Halloween, DC: The New Frontier, Kingdom Come and Watchmen. That’s 1,912 pages of comics, and even better, it’ll only cost $49.99, which is about $10 cheaper than buying each book individually.

It hasn’t been announced at this time how the set will be packaged, meaning if it’ll come in a slipcover, or just loose in a garbage bag. Probably not the latter. The DC Compact Comics Box Set will hit stores on November 3, 2026.

Papercutz Launches Line Of Disney Science Comics:

Papercutz is launching a new line of middle-grade graphic novels that will make you learn AND entertain you. Hopefully.

Titled Disney Science in Comics, the books will use Disney properties to teach scientific concepts, in comic book form. And alongside comic book creators, the books will actually be written by a “dedicated team of scientists” so it’s not gonna be your regular comic book pew pews and zooms and whatever.

The books include: Age of Dinosaurs which includes Toy Story characters, hitting stores on May 26; Life in the Seas including Finding Nemo characters on June 3; Cities of Tomorrow with Zootopia characters on July 7; and Galaxies and Plants with Big Hero 6 characters on August 4.

The hardcover versions will cost $29.99, and paperback $19.99.
