This is Comic Book Club News for January 26, 2026.
Marvel April 2026 Solicit Highlights:
Marvel has been threatening the end of the Ultimate Universe is coming since New York Comic Con, and now it has finally arrived. Or rather, almost arrived, as the publisher has released their solicits for April 2026, including the wrap-up of the blockbuster publishing line.
The end of Ultimate Endgame — and the Ultimate Universe Finale — are far from the only highlights in April, though — and by the way, Ultimate Wolverine and Ultimates also end in April. As previously announced, Marvel will release their side of the Spider-Man/Superman crossover, which will include stories by Geoff Johns, Brad Meltzer, Dan Slott and more.
Speaking of Spider-Man, April wraps up the nine-part Death Spiral crossover with Venom in the pages of that title and Amazing Spider-Man, as the duo — and Carnage — fight a new super-powered serial killer named Torment. Meanwhile, other spider-heroes enroll in Spider-Versity, a five issue series that finds them taught by Norman Osborn on how to take down… The Green Goblin? And Web of Venom focuses on a brand new character in the red-and-blue Venom suit.
Death Spiral isn’t the only crossover, either: Chip Zdarsky lays the seeds for Armageddon in the pages of Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #3 and two issues of Captain America.
Over in X-Men land, Wolverine #18 promises a big death, while Wolverine #19 brings on Hercules. Uncanny X-Men also double ships with #26 promising someone has been manipulating the team since the beginning, and a “shocking ending that could change X-lore forever,” while #27 promises another big death, and “a story you never thought you’d see.”
Eternals 50th Anniversary features writers and artists paying tribute to Jack Kirby’s creations, including Fall Out Boy’s Patrick Stump. Deadpool: April Pool’s Day brings Gail Simone back to the merc with a mouth with a one-shot celebrating the, uh, holiday. Alien: King Killer kicks off a new five-issue series featuring those lovable xenomorphs. And Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – Echoes of the Empire is a five issue series setting up why characters other than those from the sequel trilogy are showing up in Disneyland.
