‘Giant-Sized Savage Tales’ Brings On Dynamite’s Hit Pulp Heroes

Dynamite’s Savage Tales is about to get much bigger with Giant-Sized Savage Tales, an over-sized one-shot featuring a slew of characters.

Written by David Avallone, the book featured art from recent The Kubert School graduate Mariano Benitez-Chapo on two stories: the continuing “His War” arc for Captain Gullivar Jones; and “Vampirella Noir” starring, you guessed it, Vampirella. Then Pasquale Qualano takes on Red Sonja in “Red Sonja: The Exile.” And Sebastián Píriz handles art duties on “The Last Allan Quatermain Story.”

Don’t worry, there are plenty of covers for the April 2026 releasing issue. Those include Bjorn Barends doing covers featuring Red Sonja and Vampirella, and cosplay covers featuring Ivy Cosplay as both of the characters, as well. Plus, guess what? Blind Bags, with limited edition variants of the issue.
