‘Ultimates’ First Six Issues Get Reprinted In Advance Of ‘Ultimate Endgame’s, Er, End

Here’s some news I would describe as “odd”: Marvel will reprint the first six issues of The Ultimates by Deniz Camp, Juan Frigeri, and Phil Noto, all hitting stores on March 4.

This will come in advance of the release of Ultimate Endgame #3, so one might expect a tie-in to the event series that’s crucial to read again. But the curious part is all of these individual issues were collected in The Ultimates Volume 1: Fix The World, which also includes Ultimate Universe #1. So I’m not quite sure what the goal is here other than dominating shelf space.

Anyway, the new printings will feature a new version of Dike Ruan’s original covers, as well as a new variant by InHyuk Lee on Ultimates #1, alongside new versions of old Lee variants on issues #2 through #6.
