Marvel Teases The End Of ‘Death Spiral’ With April Spider-Solicits

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #26 (LGY #991) – DEATH SPIRAL PART SEVEN!

Somebody is gonna die in the Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral crossover. And while the nine-part Marvel storyline has yet to begin, as usual with comics we already know how it’s gonna end. Sort of.

Thanks to Marvel’s Spider-Solicits (solicits that were bitten by a radioactive spider) for April 2026, we’ve got a look at what to expect in the final four parts of the storyline. It kicks off with a one-shot, and then continues through issues of Amazing Spider-Man and Venom until the bitter end. What’s it about? Great question:

SPIDER-MAN has returned to Earth just in time to face CARNAGE, who’s discovered Spider-Man’s secret identity in the mind of his newest host, EDDIE BROCK! When Spider-Man and Venom team up against the killer symbiote, another shocking secret is revealed as PETER PARKER discovers that MARY JANE is the ALL-NEW VENOM! It’s a collision course of danger that explodes when Peter, Mary Jane, and Eddie find themselves in the crosshairs of TORMENT, a new serial killer supervillain with a mysterious—and deeply personal—connection to Spider-Man. No one is safe as Spider-Man, Venom and Carnage join forces to figure out who TORMENT is and stop their loved ones from getting caught in his web of death!

The press release from Marvel teases that “Torment adds another victim to his death tally” in the final four issues, so let’s speculate! Based on the solicits, possibilities include Dylan Brock, Eddie Brock (who is currently Carnage), Mary Jane Watson (who is currently Venom), and Peter Parker (who is currently Spider-Man, but will be Carnage by the end of the storyline). Other folks mentioned in the solicits include Flash Thompson, Anna Watson, and May Parker. And glimpsed on covers are Paul, Doctor Octopus, Madame Masque, Luke Cage, Robbie Robertson, MODOK, and many more.

Also Torment, though it’s gonna be a short crossover if Torment’s upcoming victim is Torment.

Anyway, nothing against her but I’m gonna throw out there Anna Watson as the most disposable character. So will she get killed by Torment? Stay tuned.
