Heading into the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man/Venom: Death Spiral crossover, Mary Jane Watson is Venom, Eddie Brock is Carnage, and Peter Parker is Spider-Man, as usual. But coming out of the crossover, Peter Parker will be… Spider-Carnage?
That’s pretty much all we know, thanks to a teaser for Amazing Spider-Man #27 by Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness sent over by Marvel. I guess we also know the crossover will kick off with a one-shot, before running through issues of Venom and Amazing Spider-Man, as the title characters are forced to team up with Carnage — who now knows Spider-Man’s secret identity — against a supervillain serial killer named Torment who Carnage is trying to kill.
So is this a permanent change (or as permanent as things get in comics)? Will Eddie Brock subsequently become Venom again, and Mary Jane become Spider-Man? Will they all become Carnage? Will you become Carnage? You’ll find out on April 22, 2026.
