‘Chew’ Returns In The Pages Of ‘Comics! The Magazine’

Guess who’s back? Chew is back. The hit comic book series by John Layman and Rob Guillory is making its triumphant return in the pages of Comics! The Magazine, a new periodical hitting stores on March 4.

First released through Image Comics, the series ran 60 issues and featured a detective named Tony Chu who is a “cibopath,” aka able to get psychic impressions from his food… Including dead bodies. The world expanded dramatically, and even spawned a sequel series titled Chu.

Now, it will be serialized in Comics! with one-page stories, monthly.

…And that’s pretty much the whole news. There was a bunch more silliness sent over with the press release, but the long and short of it is that Layman and Guillory are returning to Chew, and per the release, “Comics! The Magazine is distributed by Lunar and Universal Distribution,  with final orders from retailers due on February 2nd in anticipation of the  March 4th on-sale date.”
