After once again leaking last week, the third Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer has officially dropped online. And somehow, the X-Men have returned.
Featuring Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, and James Marsden as Scott Summers/Cyclops, this latest teaser shows a broken world and a wrecked Westchester mansion, alongside some grave narration from Magneto.
“Death comes for us all, that’s all I know for sure,” Magneto says. “The question isn’t are you prepared to die, the question is who would you be when you close your eyes?”
Not seen in the teaser are Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Also on this particular X-Men Earth (probably) are Kelsey Grammar as Beast, Lashana Lynch as Binary, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, but that could be a different Earth because it’s a whole multiverse thing, so who knows?
Overall, it’s nice to see these characters for one last goodbye, after saying goodbye to them one last time in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, and also saying goodbye in 2017’s Logan, and then again saying goodbye for the last time ever, for real, in 2023’s Deadpool & Wolverine.
Curiously, the fourth teaser for Avengers: Doomsday has not leaked as of this writing. A rumor has it as featuring the Wakandans, the Talokans (aka, Namor’s people), and the Fantastic Four, but that seems a little busy for these teasers, so we’ll see.
Regardless, you can watch the new Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer below. The movie hits theaters on December 18, 2026.
