Paul Jenkins Returns To The Sentry:
Nothing against literally anyone else, but no writer has really gotten Marvel’s The Sentry as well as his co-creator, Paul Jenkins. And happily, Jenkins will return to Marvel for the first time in over a decade for a brand-new, four-issue series alongside artist Christian Rosado.
If you’re not familiar, the whole conceit of The Sentry is that he’s a regular man named Bob Reynolds who can turn into The Sentry, a hero with the power of a million exploding suns. He battles his arch enemy, The Void… Only the twist is, he is also The Void. The best takes on The Sentry (read: Jenkins takes) have played with different aspects of mental illness as it impacts the character(s). So will this one do so too, particularly after so many other things have happened since the last time Jenkins wrote him?
Per Marvel, the plot will find The Void returning and “threatening to unravel reality itself.” The series will guest star Reed Richards, Spider-Man, and the Kingpin.
You can find out when The Sentry #1 hits stores on March 18, 2026.
Resident Alien Ends At Dark Horse:
Resident Alien has one last one-shot in it, as Dark Horse Comics has announced Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse will officially wrap up their comic book series with Resident Alien: One More for the Road.
Adapted into a hit series for SYFY which also recently wrapped up, the final volume will find Harry with his secret on the brink of being revealed.
Said Hogan via press release, “At the very beginning of this story, Harry Vanderspeigle was lying low because he was scared about what might happen to him if he got caught. His own race had warned him just how dangerous Earth people could be. Now we’re going to find out just how right they were.”
Resident Alien: One More for the Road hits stores on April 15, 2026.
Tarzan Goes Beyond:
Tarzan will be in your heart, always, but now he’s ready to go beyond (your heart) with the new series Tarzan Beyond from Alien Books. Written by Steve Orlando with art by Renato Guedes, the new series is made in collaboration with Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc. and will be sold through Alien’s sub-distribution partnership with IDW.
So what makes this series Tarzan Beyond? Does he head to the big city, a la Crocodile Dundee? Or does he bring his girlfriend Jane back to the jungle, a la Crocodile Dundee II? Actually, per PR, it’s, “set in a new alternative universe, will showcase a wiser and older Tarzan and Jane, who have aged over many years of adventures but retain their youthful appearance thanks to the Waters of Kavuru. Together, they use their resources and knowledge to protect the world’s flora and fauna from destruction. Tarzan and Jane’s peaceful existence will be threatened when the nefarious Blackbeard the Pirate and his crew lay siege to his homeland in search of the secrets of immortality!”
There’s more Tarzan to come (swinging) into Alien Books in the coming years, including crossover one-shots. Tarzan Beyond #1 will hit stores in 2026 on a date TBA.
