Patrick Kindlon is on an explotation tear with Gehenna from Image Comics. And now he’s taking it even further with the new book Tigress Island with artist EPHK. And we’ve got a NSFW first look.
In the new series, per PR from Image, “a crew of washed-up starlets finds themselves snatched, shackled, and shipped to a jungle hellhole ruled by a vicious, velvet-gloved she-devil of a warden. The only shot at freedom? Band together, break their chains, and outrun betrayal lurking around every corner.”
If you can’t tell, the preview pages — and very not safe for work variant cover by Luana Vecchio — leans into the exploitation premise, and that’s the whole point.
“This one is for every reader who isn’t getting enough flavor in their weekly comics haul,” said Kindlon. “From concept to characters to execution, Tigress Island is unapologetic fun. High craft. Lowbrow. Awesome.”
Added, EPHK, “We set out to capture the soul of 80s and 90s sexploitation “straight-to-video” movie classics and somehow ended up with so much more. No one is ready for this!”
Tigress Island #1 hits stores on March 11, 2026, with covers by Kaladen, EPHK, and Luana Vecchio.
