Jessica Jones is back in a new five-issue series, Alias: Red Band, from Marvel. However, despite the much ballyhooed return of Alias co-creator Brian Michael Bendis to the House of Ideas, the series will be from a brand-new creative team: writer Sam Humphries and artist Geraldo Borges.
“No one does it like Jessica Jones. She’s sharp, bitterly funny, and tenacious as hell. Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos snapped when they created her, a totally singular character with a unique POV on the superhero game,” Humphries said to Polyon, via a press release provided to Comic Book Club. “I’m excited to push the limits of the kind of cases Jessica Jones can investigate, and how far she’ll go to solve them.”
Given that next year is the 25th anniversary of the title from Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos, the new five issue series will also bring back cover artist David Mack. The big difference? The previous iteration was published under the MAX imprint, while this new series will be polybagged under the Red Band line.
In the book, Jones will investigate a series of murders, joining forces with Daredevil and Typhoid Mary along the way. She’ll also deal with the realities of being married to the mayor of New York City (aka, Luke Cage), which, per Marvel, “sets the stage for both Luke and Jessica to take a pivotal role at the center of the Marvel Universe later in 2026.”
Alias: Red Band #1 hits stores on March 11, 2026 with a main cover by David Mack, and variants by Elena Casagrande and Jeehyung Lee. Check them out as well as the synopsis and solicit info below.
