Like Katy Perry, Godzilla just wants to hear you roar. And that’s what you’ll do — hopefully in approval — with Marvel Comics and Toho International’s Cosmic Variant Covers for the upcoming five issue series Godzilla: Infinity Roar.
Spinning out of the events of Godzilla Destroys The Marvel Universe, writer Gerry Duggan and artists Javier Garrón and Ig Guara will send Godzilla to space and teaming up with Knull, God of the Symbiotes. The Cosmic Variant Covers, meanwhile, will be by Paulo Siqueira, Junggeun Yoon, Dave Rapoza, E.J. Su, and Mark Brooks, and pit Toho characters versus Marvel characters.
Here are the match-ups, which of note don’t necessarily happen in the comic proper:
- Captain Marvel Vs. Mothra
- Galactus Vs. King Ghidorah
- Cosmic Ghost Rider Vs. Destroyah
- Thanos Vs. Rodan
- Phoenix Vs. Mechagodzilla
