Apple TV’s Pluribus has already delivered six excellent episodes of Vince Gilligan’s new sci-fi series. And while they’ve already raised the bar considerably… Well, get hyped for Episode 7, titled “The Gap,” because it’s the best of the season. And to whet your appetite a bit, Apple has released a clip from the episode where Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) howls with coyotes.
Yeah, that’s the whole thing: Carol stands in her driveway at night for 45 seconds and howls in an increasingly unhinged way with coyotes in the distance. As usual for this show, what does it mean? How does it tie into everything going on with the mysterious Joining? Is Carol going to become a coyote now? Who is to say?
…Well, I mean, I can say, but I wont, other than “The Gap” is a jaw-dropping hour of television unlike anything you’ve ever seen. Here’s the synopsis, which won’t help that much:
Episode 107 – The Gap – Premieres Friday, December 12
Manousos begins a dangerous trek to meet Carol. Returning home from Las Vegas, Carol gets creative with her rebellion.
Again, not helpful, but as this mentions, Manousos (Carlos-Manuel Vesga) is clearly venturing out of his comfort zone, while Carol — having just discovered than the Joining eats people — is headed back home with this disturbing info, as well as the fact that the entire world won’t talk to her.
Pluribus streams Fridays on Apple TV, though actually at 9 pm ET on Thursdays (because of time zone weirdness). It stars Seehorn, Vesga, and Karolina Wydra. You can watch the clip below.
