Absolute Batman #1 Gets 10th Printing:
Absolute Batman #1 is going back to print for a 10th printing. That’s it! That’s the news.
Okay, fine, there’s a little more to it, as the new printing of the massive hit title will include Nick Dragotta and Frank Martin’s now iconic main cover with a recolored logo, a new open-to-order cardstock variant cover by InHyuk Lee, and an open-to-order foil variant cover version of Lee’s new cover. That will hit stores on January 21, 2026.
In addition, multiple other DC Comics titles are going for by comparison puny second printings: Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1, DC K.O.: Knightfight #1, Justice League Unlimited #12, Superman #31, and The Flash #26. The latter four all tie into DC’s ongoing DC K.O. event, and will hit stores on February 4, while the Absolute Batman Annual will also hit stores on January 21.
Superman Elseworlds Tales Get Collected:
Hot on the heels of Batman’s Elseworlds tales getting collected, Superman’s will, too.
Per ICv2, the 1,232 page hardcover will collect lauded stories like Speeding Bullets, which switched Batman and Superman, Kal, which put the Man of Steel in the Middle Ages, and The Dark Side, which found Kal-El growing up on Apokolips instead of Earth.
However, like with the Batman collection, it’s interesting to see what’s not included: Red Son, which was written by Mark Millar and found Superman getting raised in Russia; and most notably Kingdom Come, one of the most acclaimed comic books — and Elseworlds stories — of all time.
One possible reason for the exclusion of those stories? Red Son is getting collected as a Compact Comics edition next year, while Kingdom Come is currently available in the format. Regardless, the Superman Elseworlds omnibus will hit stores on April 7, 2026.
Marvel Recollects Infamous Iron Man:
Probably correctly guessing readers might be interested in a comic where Doctor Doom is Iron Man in advance of Avengers: Doomsday, where Robert Downey Jr. is playing Doctor Doom, Marvel has recollected the comic with a new title.
Per Bleeding Cool, what was previously collected in 2017 as two volumes of Infamous Iron Man, written by Brian Michael Bendis with art by Alex Maleev, will now be rereleased as one volume titled Infamous Iron Man: The Rise of Doom.
However, potential readers should also note that the plot of the comic has nothing — as far as we’re aware — to do with the plot of Doomsday. In the book, Doom tries his hand at being a good guy, adopting the identity of Iron Man while Tony Stark is sort of but not actually dead. So if you’re looking for clues about the upcoming MCU movie, look elsewhere. But if you want to read a good comic? The new collection will hit stores on July 14, 2026.
