Top 11 Marvel Comics For December 2025

Ultimate Endgame teaser

It’s the final month of 2025, and Marvel is looking to end the year strong by kicking off another ending: the Ultimate Universe. Specifically, thanks to the beginning of Ultimate Endgame, starting in December of 2025 you won’t have the Ultimate Universe to kick around anymore.

While initially it looked like Ultimate Spider-Man #24 would be hitting on December 31, it’s not — it’s coming out in January. But even with the absence of the finale issue by Jonathan Hickman and Marco Checchetto, there are still plenty of comics to anticipate in December.

So let’s get to it! Here are our most anticipated Marvel Comics of December 2025, presented in chronological release order.

1. Ultimate Universe: Two Years In #1

Ultimate Universe: Two Years In #1 cover

Release Date: December 3, 2025

Before Endgame begins, we’ve got one last one-shot special to set up the events of the finale. Written by Deniz Camp and Alex Paknadel, not only will it return to the wild Ultimate Universe take on Guardians of the Galaxy, it’ll also introduce Ultimate Daredevil.

2. Doctor Strange #1

Doctor Strange #1 cover

Release Date: December 3, 2025

It’s been a weird few years for Doctor Strange, and it’s about to get weirder in this new book from Derek Landy and Ivan Fiorelli. Now the Sorcerer Supreme of Asgard, he’s going to journey through the nine realms with Angela on a mysterious mission.

3. Wiccan: Witches’ Road #1

Wiccan: Witches' Road #1 cover

Release Date: December 3, 2025

Sure this book is a little late to capitalize on Agatha All Along fever (and if you find yourself coming down with that: go see a doctor), but the idea of Wyatt Kennedy writing a solo adventure for Wiccan is pretty exciting in and of itself.

4. Hulk Smash Everything #1

Hulk Smash Everything #1 cover

Release Date: December 3, 2025

Ryan North (alongside artist Vincenzo Carratù) does what he does best: weird science stuff and done-in-one issues, alongside superhero stuff. Here it seems like Hulk “just” smashes dinosaurs, but the series is leading up to things like Hulk fighting a black hole, so this should be great.

5. Ultimate Wolverine #12

ULTIMATE WOLVERINE #12

Release Date: December 10, 2025

We’re not going to include every Ultimate Universe title on here, but this issue by Chris Condon and Alessandro Cappuccio is worth checking out because it was originally intended to be the final issue of the series. There are four more, don’t worry. But after the devastating previous issue, it’ll be exciting to see how this all (sort of) wraps up.

6. The End 2099 #1

The End 2099 #1 cover

Release Date: December 10, 2025

Steve Orlando has been stewarding the 2099 universe for a while, and now it’s all going away… To make way for the farther future of 3099.

7. Black Panther: Intergalactic #1

BLACK PANTHER: INTERGALACTIC #1 (OF 4)

Release Date: December 17, 2025

While in all honesty I was a bit mixed about the Imperial miniseries that kicked them off, the spinoff series have been pretty great. Planet She-Hulk and Nova: Centurion both released very fun first issues; so will this Black Panther book make it a hat trick?

8. The Will Of Doom #1

The Will of Doom #1 cover

Release Date: December 24, 2025

Doctor Doom had one last trick on the door out at the end of One World Under Doom: his last will and testament. That’s what’s getting followed up in this one-shot by Chip Zdarsky and CAFU, and if you know Doom, you know he’s not leaving you his money in trust or anything.

9. Ultimate Endgame #1

Ultimate Endgame #1 cover

Release Date: December 31, 2025

Two years of storytelling lead to this, but can it all come together in satisfying fashion? The Maker will finally break out of his prison with thousands of years of planning time, and it’s up to the entire world to stop him.

10. X-Men: Age Of Revelation Finale #1

X-Men: Age Of Revelation Finale #1

Release Date: December 31, 2025

The response to the X-Men event Age of Revelation has been mixed at best, but I’m still intrigued to see how it all wraps up. There have been hints and glimmers of a super-story throughout, and if Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman can nail this finale, it should smooth over some of the rougher spots from the previous three months.

11. Sorcerer Supreme #1

Sorcerer Supreme #1 cover

Release Date: December 31, 2025

Picking up on One World Under Doom, Wanda Maximoff is the new Sorcerer Supreme. Sort of. Basically she should be, but thanks to those jerks the Vishanti, it’s Agatha Harkness instead. Whatever happens, this continues Steve Orlando’s great run on Wanda in, like, the forty-fifth new series he’s done about her in the past few years.
